Few poems by Mahmoud Darwish💕

Image
To mark my 300th post, I'm sharing a collection of poems by Mahmoud Darwish. His powerful words offer deep insights into love and separation. Enjoy! I love you despite the nose of my tribe, my city and the chains of customs. But I'm afraid if I sell everyone, you will sell me and I'll return with disappointments. 'I felt like my homeland was occupied again.' Out of my ignorance I called you a homeland, and I forgot that homelands are taken away. Drink your coffee, embrace the silence, do not take people seriously, do not take life upon yourself, do not exaggerate your emotions, and do not please anyone against your will. Don't befriend me for a day, and leave me a month. Don't get close to me if you're going to leave. Don't say what you don't do. Be close or get away. A University degree, four books and hundreds of articles and I still make mistakes when reading. You wrote me 'good morning' and I read it as 'I love you'. Poetry an...

“Do not be hasty in praising people or blaming them, for perhaps what pleases you from a person today will displease you tomorrow, and perhaps what displeases you today, will please you tomorrow." ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd رضي الله عنه   [Al-Bayhaqī, Shuʿab Al-Īmān article 6177]

Shab e Meraj - Isra and Miraj. The Miraculous night journey..🌙

Image
On the night of 27th Rajab, year 621, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) took a journey across the heavens that would come to be known as Isra and Miraj ('The Night Journey'). This was a physical journey (not a metaphorical), with important spiritual elements. Travelling on the back of white beast, horse-like, called Burak (which can mean 'lightning' or 'bright'), the Prophet (pbuh) visited first "the further mosque". "Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing." Quran, 17:1 Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself described this extraordinary experience in the following words: "Then Jibreel (Gabriel) brought a horse (Burak) to me, which resembled lightning in swiftness and lustre, was of clear white colour, medium in size, smaller than a mule and taller than a (donkey), quick in movement that it put its fee...

Shab e Barat Mubarak🌙

☆VIRTUES OF THIS NIGHT☆ "Allah looks at His creation on the middle night of Sha'baan (15th) & forgives the entirety of His creation, except for the idolator or someone who's heart is holding malice". [Ibn Majah) "When it is the fifteenth of Sha'baan, then stand (in worship) at night and fast during the day. Because Allah alla descends in this night at sunset to the first heaven and says: 'Is there any seeker of forgiveness, that I may forgive him? Is there any seeker of sustenance, that I may sustain him? Is there anyone in affliction, that I may remove his affliction? Is there anyone like this, like that (and so on)'. This continues until Fajr.” [Ibn Majah] WHAT HAPPENS ON THIS NIGHT? On this night, the angels are given instructions for the whole year. Allah informs the angels that such and such a thing has been decreed for such and such a person. " For e.g Allah orders the angels regarding : -Those who are destined to die. About the evils t...

The day of Arafah

Image
HADITH: HAJJ IS ARAFAH (MONDAY, JULY 19TH) O Muslims! Prophet Muhammad said, "Al-Hajju Arafah, Hajj is Arafah." You can miss any of the principles of Hajj (by mistake) and Hajj is still accepted as you can make it up by sacrificing an animal, but if you miss Arafah, even if you perform tawaaf, sa’ee, etc., it is not considered a valid Hajj. Hajj is to stand in that wide, sandy valley, with nothing in it; they carry in water and food to survive. What is there? JabalRahmah, the mountain where Allah Blă manifested the Mercy to Prophets, who took his #Sahaba to that place to taste the difficulty. When you suffer in #dunya, you receive rewards in the next life. There, Allah la wants to test Muslims' patience. You stand in that vast valley and all Muslims say in one voice, “Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayk Allah shareeka laka labbayk, There is no partner for You, O my Lord! You are The Creator and we are here at Your service!" ~ Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

Laila Majnu.♥️

Image
"There are girls more beautiful than Layla," they used to tell Majnun. "Let us bring some to you." "I do not love Layla for her form," Majnun would reply. "Layla is like a cup in my hand. I drink wine from that cup. I am in love with that wine. You only have eyes for the goblet and do not know the wine. A golden goblet studded with precious stones, but containing only vinegar, what use is that to me? An old broken gourd with wine is better in my eyes than a hundred goblets of gold.

Cats in Islam💖🥀

Image
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was fond of cats🐱🐾 Prophet Muhammad ﷺ being the messenger of Allah SWT and a role model for the mankind was very Compassionate person and he taught Muslims to love animals and show a compassionate behaviour towards them, Try not to disturb anyone sleeping even though if it is an animal. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ fondness for cats is conveyed in his hadith: "Affection for cats is part of faith" (Maqasid al-Hasanah, al-Sakhawi). So, loving a cat is a sign that someone is a believer. When Prophet Muhammad came across a black-and-white Abyssinian cat breastfeeding her kitten during the Uhud campaign, he changed the course of his soldiers. On his way back he adopted this cat and gave her the name "Muezza." One day, he slightly tipped his cup so that a cat passing by could drink some water. And loved his cat muezza.🖤 Verily, there is heavenly reward for every act of kindness done to a living animal.🥀 - Prophet Muhammad ﷺ The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: ...

The 27th night of Rajab... Shab e Meraj💚

Image
Excellence of 12 Nawāfil (Voluntary prayers) during 27th night of Rajab♥️ There is a night in Rajab in which the one doing a good deed is granted the reward of good deeds of 100 years and that night is the 27th of Rajab. Whoever offers 12 Rak’āt in this night reciting Sūraĥ Al-Fātiḥaĥ followed by any other Sūraĥ in each Rak’at, and sitting for Attaḥiyyāt after every two Rak’āt,  and then after performing Salām after 12 Rak’āt, invokes: . سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ وَلَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ اللّٰهُ اَكۡبَر, Istighfār, and Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī one hundred times each, and then performs Du’ā for any matter of this world or the Hereafter and then fasts the next day, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will accept all his supplications except those that were for sin.’  (Shu’ab-ul-Īmān, vol. 3, pp. 374, Ḥadīš 3812) #AlisraWalMiraj Excellence of removing a difficulty in Rajab Sayyidunā ‘Abdullāĥ Ibn Zubayr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has reported, ‘Whoever...

A tunnel leading to Masjid al-Aqsa

Image
This man in al-Quds deserves so much love and recognition. Abu Khadijah was offered a fortune from authorities and upto 36 million dollars from foreigners to sell his small cafe in the old city of Jerusalem which has a tunnel leading to Masjid al-Aqsa underneath it but he refused.  He said, 'This land belongs to the Muslims and I will not give away a single part of it for any price in this world!' That's manhood and sacrifice beyond all comprehension. Loyalty over money! These are the real ones whose lives should be celebrated and shared. ~Shaykh Aslam

THE LAST SERMON OF PROPHET MUHAMMADﷺ

Image
THE LAST SERMON OF PROPHET MUHAMMADﷺ "Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 AH, in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat (in Mecca). After praising, and thanking God he said: "O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today. O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall hencef...
