Aim to be the person who goes "what were you saying?" when someone is interrupted. Aim to be the person who tries to genuinely understand people's point of view. Do you know what I love? How closely nature is linked with mentality. A walk in the woods can calm anxiety, sitting and dropping stones into a lake can ease anger, even taking time to pot some plants and look after them can keep my mind occupied from dissociation. It's like the earth is the oldest psychiatrist of all, and it is always there to talk to, giving me a constant free prescription. Isn't that beautiful.

People who wait for you to tie your shoe. People who shift closer to you when you're subconsciously moving away while you're walking next to them. People who smile at you as soon as you make eye contact. People who seek you out to tell you some good news. People who listen to you and hear you and understand you. Do not make the mistake of ever convincing yourself that everyone is a bad person when you yourself have done this and not even thought twice about it.

The thing about being kind these days is that we think a lot before being one. The way this life has pierced our hearts, we are losing the innocence we were born with.But we shouldn't give life back what we never wanted from it, instead we should give it something we have always wanted for ourselves. So that someone, somewhere could feel that way, the way we have always wished to. And don't we live a little through each others life, sharing joys and tears, laughing and crying together, so that it could become a little easier, less painful, somehow bearable. ~Tahseen Anam

It's nice to be told you're beautiful or hot or whatever, but I'd love to hear some say that I make things easier, that they're happy I exist, they don't know what they'd do with out me, I'm strong, that they hope we never lose each other, that they're proud of me, that I have something to offer. Compliments don't always have to be about appearance.

I have long embraced that I feel things so very deeply. Love, as if my heart would burst. Sorrow, as many agonizing deaths. Joy, as though the moon were in my arms or the entire galaxy in my chest.  And so I know, that my immortal soul is far greater than my mortal body. It's really comforting to know that all the times  I was at my lowest and loneliest in the past the  whole time i had my self in the future and present  who had survived those things looking back with  love and tenderness and wishing desperately to  offer comfort. I am my own guardian angel and I can use that knowledge when I'm struggling now and remember that somewhere there is a version of me that has survived this and is watching me with love and pride and joy in his heart.

I hope you know you don't have to wait to be noticed or chosen by someone in order to feel beautiful or to know that Light is shining through  you. There will be people who see you for who  you truly are and there will also be people who  are too busy or preoccupied or just don't have the time. But their lack of ability to see you is not  a reflection of you or your worth. The state they  are in will not hinder you from being led where you need to be, no matter how well you know them or how connected you feel to them. You will still bloom in the way you were meant to, no matter who does or does not notice you.

You don't know how easy it is to make someone believe that they're bad and you don't know how hard it is to heal what you've broken inside them and how long it can take for them to believe again ..that NO, they don't destroy everything they touch and that THEY ARE actually good people.
